A method of controlling a dry granulator which includes a pair of juxtaposed compression rollers and forms compression-formed articles from powder fed into between the compression rollers, wherein the strain produced in compression roller supports which support the compression rollers is measured. The compression load which the powder receives is calculated from this strain value. On the basis of the calculated compression load, the rpm's of the screw feeder and of the compression rollers are feedback-controlled so that the strain value becomes constant. Thereby, the compression load which the powder receives is directly measured for an accurate recognition thereof to stabilize the product quality in the dry granulator.
